OSIO is the Operating System for Intelligent Organisations. It is being built to give a business a persistent operating layer through which people and AI can carry out real organisational work.

The organisation’s Owner should be able to describe what needs to happen. OSIO’s architecture is designed to maintain the responsibility, relevant organisational context, authority boundaries and progress beyond the conversation or model call that began the work.

The organisation owns Work and responsibility. Models and agents can perform bounded work, but they are executors rather than the source of organisational truth. Work, relevant context, Evidence and Results should not depend on one model session, agent process, provider or machine continuing to exist where persistence permits. Authority information belongs in the continuing record, but consequential actions still require currently applicable authority.

OSIO is intended to sit above models, agents and connected business applications. This describes the intended architecture; it does not mean that every application or an arbitrary external agent is currently supported.

Why an operating layer?

Business work often continues after a conversation ends. It can depend on information held by different people and systems, and it may need to pause for a decision, wait for new information or resume later. A single answer or automation step does not by itself preserve that organisational responsibility.

OSIO is designed around that continuity: a stable place for the organisation’s Work and responsibility, while the systems that help execute it can change.

What OSIO is not

OSIO is not merely an AI chatbot, a single agent, an agent dashboard, a prompt collection, a task manager or a workflow automation tool. Those may be useful ways to interact with or execute parts of work, but they do not alone establish who owns a responsibility, what authority applies, what happened or whether the intended result was reached.

Current product status

OSIO is in development. The public website currently provides a guided simulation, previews of product interfaces and a waitlist. The simulation and previews are not a generally available operating system for carrying out live business work. A waitlist registration does not guarantee immediate access.
